A Somali Heritage Week celebration in Alberta, organised with SISSA.

The Government of Alberta officially declared June 25 to July 1 as Somali Heritage Week through Ministerial Order 2024-10.

The recognition celebrates and promotes Somali culture and heritage across Alberta, and underscores the government's commitment to recognising the contributions of Somali immigrants and fostering cultural diversity in the province.

SISSA took part in organising the celebration, which was attended by community members alongside politicians and government officials.
